
Shed Fire For Melville’s Bravest
Last night, the Melville Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in someone’s backyard. Chief of Department Chris Nolan arrived on scene and found a nearby shed had been struck by lightning and was on fire. Melville Firefighters responded quickly and extinguished the fire before any other property was damaged.
Melville’s Chief Nolan, Asst. Chief Kaplan, and Asst. Chief Bernfeld were on scene.
One line was stretched from Station 1’s Engine 2-5-7, and support was received from HQ’s Engine 2-5-8, HQ’s Heavy Rescue 2-5-12, and Station 2’s engine 2-5-4.
