The Melville Volunteer Fire Department, under the command of First Assistant Chief David Kaplan, led a multi-agency drill at the site of the former Newsday building in Melville. The drill focused on Rapid Intervention, roof operations and hose handling, and included neighboring departments from East Farmingdale, Dix Hills and Plainview.
